Rigging Institute’s “Rigging Engineer Review” is a 3-day course designed to give engineers and safety professionals involved in the crane and rigging field a base knowledge of industry standards.
Participants will observe sling fabrications for wire rope slings, alloy chain slings, synthetic webbing slings and synthetic roundslings.
Quality control discussions with I&I Sling’s ISO & Quality Manager. Spend time with Slingmax’s lead engineer and tour the Slingmax test lab. Discuss the testing and designing of advanced rigging products.
Participants will learn about the various types of load handling equipment, the benefits and limitations of different crane types and common applications. In addition, they will be provided the opportunity to operate a mobile crane and execute a supervised skills challenge, providing practical insight on crane functions and the skills required to execute a safe lift.
No successful lift happens without proper planning. Interaction workshops on lift plan writing and review will assist the participant to understand the multiple facets and processes of load handling projects.
